FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING



You know blood they say is thicker than water. Most of us will easily agree, but the point is simple.

FAMILY IS VERY RELATIVE .

People come into your life and most times make you wonder why they didn't come from your Mama's womb.

There are obviously few exceptions where your closest pal is your sibling, your dad or maybe your mum...like I said, few exceptions.
 Never let the notion of a blood tie stop you from enjoying the beauty of friendship. Now I am not in anyway trying to belittle or relegate blood to the background, but I speak the TRUTH.

LET'S IDENTIFY A FEW EXAMPLES
1. You work out in a gym every morning and evening , obviously you'll have gym buddies who are also passionate about achieving their fitness goals just as you are. Before you know it , the relationship transcends just the gym and you'll start hanging out and attending functions together...watch what's happening...a tie as well as a niche is being carved. 6months down the line these #gymbuddies know more about you than your family who have probably been with you since your first day on earth.

2. You are in a church choir where apart from sundays, weekdays and other special programs, you also meet up for rehearsals during the week. That bond appears again.

3. Footballers aren't left out in this too.

Now I want you to understand something here... most of these guys are people who on a normal day you wouldn't even want on your wedding day, but time, activity and the fact that y'all have similar goals have changed all that. At this point if you were to just have 5 people at your wedding, 3 or prolly 5 of them will not be your blood but will be FAMILY.


LET'S MAKE THIS MORE FUN....DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU DO OR YOUR GOALS IN LIFE, list out names of people or groups you consider family not related to you by blood.

The alarm goes wild and Janelle’s phone falls from the bed as she stretches and wearily opens her eyes one after the other.  She suddenly realizes how cold her pink-themed room is and sighs as she spots her duvet nestled to one corner of the bed, far from her reach. “Thank God I live alone,” she says as she sits up nude and lazily walks to her live-sized mirror to admire her very unique physique; her legs are as straight as the Pillars of Hercules, joined to her pelvis on which her very African hips sit. Dear Tola,

We fell in love and that was the problem, seeing as we sauntered towards an end that had no beginning. We laced our hearts with a love that was borne of pure lust and eschewed every promissory note of trust. Tee...I'll lie to you if I say I didn't have my doubts when we decided to try.
